Let's spend a day in the rural Milpa Alta

Lots of learning, lots of corn, cactus and food. We'll get to see the rural part of Mexico City as we enjoy some of the best produce grown around the area prepared in a unique way and paired with Mexican wine.

Itinerary

Just to give you an idea of what this collaborative experience entails

Cactus Fields
First we’ll stop at the cactus fields where we’ll learn about this delicious vegetable and it properties. We’ll get to collect and cook our own while we sip on freshly brewed cafe de olla.
Nixtamal corn & tortillas
We’ll learn about this ancient corn process and we’ll get our hands dirty making our own tortillas.
Tamales
If you always wondered how tamales are made, this is your moment to shine! A tamales workshop with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Molcajete
There’s much to know about this Mexican version of a mortar and pestil made of volcaninc stone .
4 course meal
We’ll enjoy a 4 course meal by Jorge Córcega, Milpa Alta’s most famous chef paired with Mexican wine.
