Our Story

Anais Martinez, otherwise known as The Curious Mexican, showcases her enthusiasm for Mexico via Devoured. From this platform she invites you to come along and explore Mexico through the eyes of a food writer, taco connoiseur and natural wine lover. Inspired by food, ingredients, techniques and cooking, this project is dedicated to showing you the real side of our gastronomy--from our favorite taqueros, to the young entrepreneurs in the food industry and the traditional producers from across Mexico. Join us as we explore what it means to be Mexican today!

The love for food (and tacos) is the fuel that runs through all of our veins. We are a team of experts in Mexican cuisine and employ only guides who are passionate about what they do.

Anais Martinez

Founder / Lead Guide
Founder of Devoured, in love with blue corn tlacoyos and always down to meet a new taco place. Studied Gastronomy & Culinary Arts at one of the most prestigious unversities in Mexico and worked in the food business for years before returning to Mexico City to start doing food tours. Nine years later, she's one of the most sought-after food experts in the city, both among hungry tourist and prestigious publications including Vogue and Travel + Leisure and New York Times.
